Included in folder are one holograph letter about Jesús Ramos, the writer of the journal signed by Pablo Ảvila (dated 10/23/87),
and three photocopied pages (one title page and two text pages) from Historic Spots in California (3rd ed.) by Mildred Brooke

1966).

Jesús Ramos immigrated to the United States from Mexico as a young man and was given a contract for adobe work on Rancho Ríncon
de San Francisquito, or Rancho Santa Rita, by Secundino Robles in 1847. He continued to be employed by Robles for some years
after and lived with his family in Mayfield.
